Finally! A television adaptation I can get behind!
After the success of other adaptations Bates Motel and The Returned, A&E (the channel that once actually showed arts, entertainment, and Law & Order: TOS) has announced a televised adaptation of the Swedish film Let the Right One In, as opposed to the Swedish novel that film was based on, or Let Me In, the American remake of the film remake of the book remake.
I'd guess the series won't be filmed entirely in Swedish with subtitles but the story of a lonely, bullied boy befriending an adolescent vampire works well in both film versions so it stands to reason it should here too. Considering that the bulk of the story is the growing friendship of Oskar/Owen and Eli/Abby as they face their own challenges of a neglected home or ... well, consuming human blood, a weekly saga of this tale sounds mightily intriguing.
