Random Movie: Hot Tub Time Machine (2010)

I challenge you to find one person who does not enjoy a hot tub. Putting aside the potential health issues from prolonged use or extreme temperatures (thank you Michael Myers for teaching kids about the latter), a hot tub is relaxing and therapeutic and can make a kick-ass time machine. I would argue a Delorean is better as it can also function as a normal automobile, but the titular hot tub from Hot Tub Time Machine is running a close second. Three friends, Adam, Nick, and Lou have seen better days. Now in their middle ages, they find their lives slipping away from the dreams and ambitions they once had. After Lou has a mishap (or potential suicide attempt) with car exhaust and a sealed garage, the three hit the road with Adam’s nephew Jacob to a winter ski resort that they kicked at in the old days. The first night there as the four are relaxing in the bubbling, heated water containment unit, a mishap with a Russian drink and the hot tub controls results in a transportation back

Random Movie: Real Men (1987)

Written by: PBF There’s a funny thing about Real Men . Almost every “review” of it mentions that every other review of it states that it is a bad movie, but that current reviewer disagrees. I have yet to find these negative reviews. I will try to make this plot summary as simple as possible. It is quite ridiculous. Due to an accidental chemical spill that we only hear about, all life on Earth will be dead in 5 years. The CIA have been negotiating with aliens for years and it is discovered that those aliens have a “good package” that will reverse the process started by the spill. They also have a “big gun” that can destroy a planet. The good CIA agents want that package and the bad agents and Russians want the big gun. A rendezvous is arranged to meet the aliens and the good agents have what keeps being referred to as the vital map, that shows the meeting spot. The aliens require a glass of water for the package or the gun, whichever is decided upon. At the beginning of the movie,

Random Movie: The Hangover (2009)

Las Vegas. Muse for many a film maker. From the not so good , to The Hangover . I assumed that this film would be some kind of hybrid of Dude, Where's My Car? and Very Bad Things . It surely, is not. Because it was actually funny. Basically we have 4 guys going to Vegas for a blowout before Doug ( Justin Bartha ) gets married. Doug's character is pretty much irrelevant to this review, as they lose him, and spent the mojority of the movie trying to find him while piecing together the events of the previous night, which they all cannot remember. You have Stu ( Ed Helms ), who basically freaks out at everything, as he is very tightly wound around his girlfriend's ( Rachel Harris ) vagina and does not wish to upset her. Also, there is Phil ( Bradley Cooper , dreamboat), who apparently is a dirtbag to all the women in the film, but is oddly the most level headed and calm in most of the chaos that is going on. Finally there is, Alan ( Zach Galifinakis , Fat Jesus, not Phat Jes

"I'm Going to Set the Building on Fire."

Stephen Root is hilarious. You probably do not know his name, but you have seen him before, or at least heard his voice. Seen here, he is Milton Waddams in Office Space, possibly one of the funniest movies ever, definitely not suffering from the Weekend at Bernie's Effect . It was based on a Satruday Night Live animated short of the same name, created by Mike Judge. The SNL short actually focused on the Milton character, whereas the movie had him as more a supporting character in a few scenes to break up the hilarity with more hilarity. Speaking of Mike Judge, Stephen Root is also on King of the Hill as Bill, also created by Mike Judge (and Greg Daniels of the Simpsons). He has been in almost everything from Ghost to Seinfeld ("I think it's pine."). You will no doubt remember him from News Radio , as Jimmy James. I did not start watching News Radio until it had been on for a while, but I found it really funny. I mean, look at the cast: Andy Dick, Dave Foley, Phil Ha
