Killer Fever! Top 9 Slashers I Need to See Right Away

As of this writing, Wikipedia lists 456 American films classified as slashers. Sprinkled among the well-known franchises like Friday the 13th and semi-famous one-offs like Dr. Giggles are a hodgepodge of lesser-known titles. Here is a sampling of films that I want to see based solely on their titles.

Dr. Chopper
Starring Jigsaw’s apprentice Costas Mandylor and no one else you’ve ever heard of, Dr. Chopper features a “sadistic, knife-wielding plastic surgeon” which sounds like a role Corbin Bernsen should be playing in 2005.

Deadly Little Christmas
There is already no shortage of Christmas based horror movies but Deadly Little Christmas sounds like it just takes the Halloween template of a young boy murdering and then returning later, and applying it to another holiday. Cool. Is it on Redbox?

I Dismember Mama
A 1972 film about a man trying to kill his mother for a second time? I bet this is gritty AF.

Jingles the Clown / Mr. Jingles
A double feature of killer clowns named Jingles? I bet we get a whole new batch of these after the success of this years’ It.

Most Likely to Die
Wasn’t there a short-lived TV show about a group of people on their 10th high school reunion getting killed? No, well this will suffice I suppose.

Nail Gun Massacre
One of the posters literally says “...cheaper than a chainsaw.” We’ve seen the damage a nailgun can do in Lethal Weapon 2 but I’m in for a whole movie about it.

Terror at Tenkiller
Tenkiller is apparently a lake in this film. Who would name a lake that? That’s as bad as ‘Lake Suffocation’. Anyway, there is a Rifftrax of this apparently so it’s on someone’s radar.

The Tripper
From IMDB: “A Ronald Reagan-obsessed serial killer targets a bunch of hippies who are heading to a weekend-long concert.” And directed by David Arquette? Where has this been all my life???

Zipperface
There have been far too few erotic slasher films made. Sure, pretty much every slasher has some T&A but Zipperface has a killer running around in a bondage suit murdering prostitutes. How did I not come across this on USA’s Up All Night at some point?

Some of these films should prove difficult to track down but I swear I will get to them all. I owe David Arquette that much at least for his EAR2000 contributions.
